Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Special Education
Erik Carter is the Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Special Education at Vanderbilt University and co-Director of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. His scholarship focuses on research-based and principle-driven strategies for supporting inclusion and valued roles for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in school, community, and congregational settings. He has published more than 250 articles and chapters, along with six books.
